Out & About
Athens Areas
Athens is not gigantic but it is big, it has history and culture with a living and unique population
It has theatres, night life of many kinds that go till dawn and a day life that might surprise you
It has many areas that are almost autonomous, they have so many areas with their own churches, squares and amenities that there are many shopping areas with individual shops and original entertainment, it becomes hard to just say one place is where you go to do just one thing
But there are some special areas, many of these areas have official websites but they are always in Greek and talk about local developments, laws and issues
The Northern suburbs
