Your history of the news media, what has that given you?
Abilities of speed to frame and capture moments in a split second.
You know it is not going to happen again, so you are not going to have it if you don’t get it that one time.
I learnt that people who did not know they were being photographed, were not posing.

The passion in your work, can you define what or where it comes from?
From all of the above but the defining moment when I knew I wanted to be a photographer was when I was 15, I went to see a movie, it was in color but I remember seeing it in black and white, that is all I remember of that day, a moment out of time where I woke up one person and went to sleep another.
What was the film?
I cannot remember, not even a story line, nor who I went with or anything.
Sounds traumatic.
Yes.
Your photography from abroad, holiday, dream, work or what?

I am in control but we are a team, the talent of taking what has been given to me, (the outline of the way the presentation of the Event by the client), to my team so naturally that I can say ‘They want this…. Go get it’.
You translate what you are told in to a score (or story board)?
Yes
Like a composer, then you conduct it?
Yes, yes, no force, just flow.
Ok, I like you and want you to capture my dream Event on film, what is it that you can say that makes me trust you from thousands of miles away?
My motto is to ‘make real people look beautiful and beautiful people look real’.
I am open to consultation and non judgmental.
The trust people have already given me is proved in my work, that is justification enough I hope.

Why so many different places?
The different civilizations and all they create, humans create, it is something to see and experience.
Your view on Greece for those coming here?
Geographically it is one of the best places you can be, it brings out emotions in people and I like to capture those emotions.
What do you offer someone who needs your touch, your particular talent as a photographer?
What they want me to do, what they think of it (their Event), once they have told me, what they want, their fantasy of what they want their Event to be, then I can make it.
Your team, can you give me a feel of what makes you a team and not just you as the boss and them employees?

He is not shy, just quite and intense, soft spoken, patient and he listens, his eyes talk more than his words, and he sees, more than just looking and his talent for being there is restful and non threatening, it is a sense of ‘just being’.
The education of technique learnt at university combined with the news industry has made him more than good at what he does.
He wanted to change the way weddings were captured here in Greece and he has done that, he is in the www.wpja.org (The Wedding Photojournalist Association), only 5 – 7% of those who apply to go in this prestigious site, the criteria to be accepted is judged on quality of your pictures.
It must be the international experiences that have helped him be so comfortable with who he is.

He also sees the potential of Reality Holidays, of creating real life photo documentaries of all sorts, from sports, family and just fun, not just for the entertainment value to future family members of the participants, but capturing history in the making, of the every day person expressing themselves.
