Passions

When people talk about alternatives, they are talking about the select percentage that do not want to do what the mainstay percentage is doing, for their own reasons, this I agree with as long as it is not breaking any laws.

Here in Greece they are Orthodox, but they do not require you to be Orthodox to be here, all that they want is for you to respect that they are an Orthodox Society, that they have communities which run to Orthodox time tables, so when you are in their towns or villages, with their communities you respect their ways.

But

In a remote area, or private property, not disturbing their communities, you can do what you like, almost, you can get permission to do most anything from the local municipality, as long as you do not plan to do it in the town square in front of the children.

So a private estate, serviced with discrete staff, walled off by high fences, even security guards to stop paparatsi, fully catered, all you want supplied and as ordered, why you can do most anything.

Depending on the degree of what you wish to do, I would suggest you go to one of our venues, or villas and put your Event in the hands of one of our understanding and experienced Event Planners.

Big Private Estates

Big and private is one of the first things you need, it being a place that is rented for your enjoyment is the second.

The services that will serve you on these estates are sometimes provided with the estate, but the extras are there in weddingreece.com to pick and choose from.

I have talked to most services and asked them questions along the lines of, "do you go to your client?", "if they ask for food service 24 hours a day?", "if they want you to go to this mountain or beach?", "if they are in strange dress do you have a problem?", "if they require you to provide security measures on your staff, can you?"

The answer was always "Yes", with a raised eyebrow as they could not see why anyone would want to do these things.

But they all seam willing to give it a go and follow your instructions.

I like the Greeks because they say yes and do not really care as you are not staying and asking them to change.

What can I say

There is no Greek word for privacey but they do have a great capacity for not noticing things and ignoring others.

Some of my ideas for alternative Events: -

Ancient Greek style Wedding or reception with Pan fluting in the guests, an Orator pronouncing the Main Participants accomplishments in the style of Ancient Greek  nobles, a feast with music and entertainment whilst guest eat, you can really let your mind run wild knowing that it does not have to stop when the sun comes up.

Leylines and Temples or ruins, these are perfect for those who wish to practice the ancient rites of traditional beliefs, barbeques, feasts and parties are easy to arrange, ceremonies at sunset or sun rise are no problem, the staff are used to all hours, the Event stops when you say it does.

I love leather and all its incarnations, a private ceremony on a privet estate, fully catered with a final day in 'Day Wear' to view the sites.
