To conceive something is to start something.

To start something it is best to plan it first.

A concept is to see if it can be real.

To be real you have to factor in all the pros and cons.

Like: - Time, Money, Ability, Energy, Drive and Stamina.

When you wanted that thing as a child, like a bicycle, your parents made you aware there were conditions, things you had to do and responsibilities, these you learnt, well now you know the consequences, lets ‘conceive’.

You have an Idea, now we can plan it.

First I need you to relax, a well thought out plan can ride many a sudden change and you can figure out many things before hand

You have to make the list of wishes, of any ideas you have, we may not be able to have them all, but the more that is down, the better

Why?

Well if you go into the negotiation with more than you want, and know what you will give up, when it comes to negotiating, it looks like you are more reasonable when you give up something or things.

Who is going to pay for it?

There is you, your partner, your families and maybe the bank. Put figures down of what you think you can afford for each party in your list. Add it up and that is your budget.

Asking for the money later to fulfil your requirements will be much easier with a ‘costing sheet’, it is like showing you have thought this out and have control to those who control what you want first, the money.

Make a list of what you would spend on your holiday, how much you would give for a hotel, rental car, excursions, organised things some cites offer like local tours, concerts and show, how much you budget for meals, snacks and the special occasions.

Once you have that you have a good idea what your friends and family will be paying for themselves, after all, they are sharing their holiday with you, so they will be paying for a lot themselves.

With these numbers you can give them the truth, that this is not going to be more expensive than having a tour operators holiday package, and you have the added value of being unique.

These numbers will also make you and others who are paying for things that this is not such an outlandish idea, just special.

Time and Timing

Not just the date you want, try and think of time of the others involved, if you know either your parents are taking a holiday at this time, you know they are not available then, but that they will be spending money at that time already, and before in preparation for the holiday and that they will be tired for some time after their holiday.

Better yet, get them to change their holiday to come to Greece for your Event.

You have to look at calendars for other set holidays, set family outings, get togethers and if others are having birthdays, celebrations, exams, christenings etc..

Changing the time of the Event may make money matters better.

Truthfully assess you and your partners ability to come to Greece, passports, luggage, medical checkups, it takes energy to travel, you will be running on adrenalin the whole time you are here, you will feel like you have run a winning marathon at the end of your stay, fantastically happy and full of the experience, and others joining you will have similar feelings if not quite as intense.
