Event Planners
An Event Planner is someone who sees to your budget, is the person on the ground here representing you, who is here looking for the best deal without loosing the effect you want.
You talk, you plan and you cover all your fears with this person, you build trust with them.
They go all out for you, they are there from the time the person steps into a plane to come here to the time the last one leaves, they see to the over all timing of the days for you, what time you have for the things you want to do, the service, the itinerary like making sure the cars are there, that the rooms or apartment are booked and waiting for you, that the equipment and other things are ready.
They are the person the Event Designer talks to here on the ground first when there is a problem, if together they can fix it, they will.
The timing of the Event is the Event Planners job, in effect they are you until you come, they keep you updated by fax, email and phone, when you do arrive they continue to coordinate the plans you have made together till the time you leave.
Your preference is the guide for their actions, like you, when they order a thing to be made for you, they will photograph it and send it to you for your approval, when you choose those services you want, they will haggle for you to get the one you want at the price you want, they are also there to handle the Greek, they answer your questions or any misinterpretations.

Event broad outline on Day of Arrival
Flights, time of arrival, transport and/or pickup of guests to place you are residing.
Getting settled then orientation, going with the list pre-agreed upon to meet service providers, checking examples of things ordered and going over plans.
May be journey(s) to see sites of Events
Lunch then rejuvenation massages after your journey for you and the group with you
Next, getting ready for meet and greet of guests with drinks including an orientation
: - with printed time tables of surprise things you have arranged - details to give guest beyond what they already have.
I.E. contact names and numbers, mobile phones / cards, emergency info and answer questions.
Dinner in the evening as arranged and what ever else has been planned by you

Like the Event Designers, we have to look at those Event Designers who are already here to make sure that they do it the way you want it
Why does it seam so difficult?
The international community are diverse and talented in finding new and exciting ways of doing things to spend their free time, expand their minds and spend their money.
Except for news items, they do not really appreciate that people really do the things I am talking about.
These people we are dealing with are open to it all but as they mainly deal with Greeks or Greeks returning to Greece for cultural reasons, they are unsure if the things I show them are real.
What we are proposing is so new to nearly all of them that they are waiting for the first of you to do some of the things you do, here in Greece.

When you use someone to represent you anywhere, you want to feel that they can do it your way and that they have the required experience.
