Abseiling
This is a fantastic place to go abseiling
All levels of skill
You go down into the gorges which are inaccessible otherwise, looking all the way down for the best course to climb back up
These cliffs and mountains are not tamed
Their may be a grove or two of trees climbing up the opposite slope, but you must remember they come to tend them twice a year, to spray them in spring and harvest and prune in Autumn
These places are wild, wild life of all kinds, snakes, lizards, birds, small mammals and streams
Some of them are in shadow for most of the day and rock falls are common

I have seen many fishing shops, with rods, lines and bait with all the latest equipment but so far I have not found an Extreme Sports shop or rental place
I have looked
So it looks like you will have to bring your own equipment
Get it insured for travel
But for the rest, look at the federation and see what help they can be
You might ask why I think it is such a good place for this sport
Look at Google maps for an aerial view of the Greek mainland and you will see mountain range after mountain range for you to try

Why do I say this?
Because by the sea, near the beaches it is much more civilised
The cliffs are known, the rocks are local and although people have not climbed or abseiled them, they are more accessible to people than the mountains
As Greeks are famous for making a road as access to what they want out of rocks, dirt tracks really, they do open up some areas to people, local now and tourists later
Setting off from the top of the cliff to the beach bellow knowing that there is transport at the bottom to take you back up by this road is easier for those trying things for the first time, any age
