Horse & Carriages
Yes they have them here, donkey drawn carriages as well, there are some islands that do not allow cars on at all
The main land of Greece is just like any other European country, full of history, charm and old world ways
The Horse Drawn Carriage is the most beautiful idea and of course they have them here
Arranging for a horse drawn carriage or a horse for you to ride to your ceremony is not a problem
Having all the guest on horse back may take some doing, but if you have them all come by carriage it shoud be no problem

They have many horse stables, for private and public, they also have a wonderful countryside to ride in

There are many islands that do not allow vehicles, travel is by donkey, donkey pulled carts, carriages and of course just riding
But there are many villages on the mainland that still use donkeys to travel, some of those groves and fields are hard to reach in the mountains
I have been in these mountain villages, a milk maid was riding past on a donkey leading the goats to be milked, she saw how tired I was from trekking and offered me a lift
She was riding side saddle with a rope as reigns, her buttocks must be made of iron, but riding astride was the greatest way to see the mountain as donkies are lower than horses and have a different gait, bumpier, slower but made for sightseeing |
