Vows
Vows are more than just saying ‘I do’
At some point you have given a vow, in the old days a vow was as strong as the marriage, even now if you say you will marry someone it can be upheld in court as much as any legal contract
It may not been seen a much by some young people these days but they are also taking vows without calling it that
Common in law marriages are as a vow, come 6 months of living together they are as married in the eyes of the law as if they stood in a registry office
Vows of common interest, tastes and mores are also made, groups of people who join together to do a common study, activity, hobby and outlook on life often make a vow to support each other
Then there are those who have shared something like national service, not the same regiment but the same engagement
Those who have shared and helped each other through a group accident and come out stronger
All these are Vows
All these deserve celebration and recognition

The wrinkles and bugs are gone and what they have is working
Two or more people may feel that here and now it the time to say to the world, ‘We have made it’
This is the time you want to bring in everyone not involved to show them that you have worked together to make something
This is the time you can celebrate
This is the time to let it see the light of the eyes of all those who have supported you who have worked so hard
As it is special, hard won and worth it, come here and celebrate, all together
